If there’s anything most distinguishing to Maddox chairs, that would be the horizontal wooden arcs of the backseat. The Maddox Barstool wears those curved backrests in a proud but reserved manner. Its metal back posts hold these wooden slats in even spaces and shape in an inward slope, much more like a taper.
The vintage take on this barstool is so bold. A square upholstered seat tucks in a robust metal frame. The seat stands above the gradual and graceful thinning of its legs, wrapped by a ring-shaped footrest in an ergonomic height. Under each slender leg is a flat and rounded metal footpad, which makes it a bit different from other Maddox furniture.
